Mavis Staples - Don't Change Me Now [1988]

Don't Change Me Now pulls together most of the better efforts from Mavis Staples' solo career, being a composite of two solo albums, Mavis Staples and Only for the Lonely, recorded for Stax subsidiary Volt in 1969 and 1970, respectively. Ace has added a number of originally unreleased tracks to this collection. The liner notes are well written and the sound is fine.

  2. I bought a Mavis Staples elpee from WH Smith on York Railway Station sometime in the early 1970s, don't know where it went to but this will make up for its loss, thanks very much.
